Next month’s donor clinic with Canadian Blood Service sponsored in part by Hot Country 92.5 is almost full.
In speaking with Tim Halderson, Clinic Volunteer Leader for Canadian Blood Services/St. Edith Stein Knights of Columbus there are appointments available between 1:20 and 2:25 pm but the rest of the appointments are booked.
“It is important to fill those appointments, as there is a critical need for blood donations, which have decreased significantly since the pandemic started. If possible, it would be important that donors who have registered do actually attend, as at the last few clinics there have been a significant number of “no shows”.
And donors may need to be reassured that Canadian Blood Services is extremely careful with COVID checks, temperature checks, masking, and social distancing throughout the Clinic,” saide Halderson.
