The Eastern Ontario Health Unit provided a vaccination update yesterday.
Between June 16th to yesterday July 8th the health unit says a total of 43,949 doses were administered at community clinics, hospitals, pharmacies and in primary care facilities across the five counties.
To date, 209,977 doses of a covid 19 vaccine have been delivered into the arms of residents across the Eastern Ontario Health Unit Region
The health unit says it continues to accept residents on standby for remaining doses at the end of a clinic. You can submit your name for the standby list online. https://eohu.ca/en/covid/covid-19-vaccine-standby-list
The Eastern Ontario Health Unit also said it is working to increase the vaccination rate of youth 12-17 and adults 18-29, whose coverage is hovering around 50%.
