A simple prank involving a Nerf Jolt Gun has resulted in charges against an 18-year-old Wendover youth
The incident is said to have happened on July 10th
Word is the youth and a friend were imitating a prank they saw on the TikTok social media site of people shooting foam darts at strangers.
According to police, the youth was arrested after driving a car in the Morris Village neighbourhood firing foam darts at passersby.
One man who was shot at threw something at the car.
Russell OPP have charged the young driver with assault with a weapon, criminal harassment and careless driving.
He claims to have received injuries during the arrest.
As a result, the Special Investigations Unit is now also involved in the investigation
