The City of Clarence Rockland says the residential Fall Clean-Up program will take place from September 27 to October 8, 2021, on your usual garbage collection day.
Residents will be required to place their regular garbage (limit of 3 bags) and recyclables on one side of the driveway and large items/scrap on the other side.
A maximum volume of 4′ x 8′ x 4′ will be collected.
Please note, metal items must be placed apart as they will be collected separately.
The following items will not be collected:
• Tires;
• Animal carcasses;
• Construction materials, such as: wood, wood with nails, dry wall, earth, stones, rocks, bricks, asphalt paving, patio stones;
• Hazardous materials, industrial and liquid waste;
• Propane tanks and fluorescent tubes;
• Vehicle bodies and parts, truck cabs, boats;
• Organic yard waste (bush, trees, grass, leaves, stumps, etc.);
• Blue box and black box recyclable materials;
• Electronics (TV, radio, DVD, etc.);
• Bale wrapping plastics; and
• Refrigerators or any appliance containing refrigerant gases.
Please visit the landfill site page of our website for the list of items that are accepted free of charge.
A reminder to residents that the free weekends at the landfill site are replaced with a program where each residential address in Clarence-Rockland can throw a cumulative weight of 140 kg per year away at the dump free of charge.
