Beau’s Brewing Co., in Vankleek Hill has announced an alliance with Steam Whistle Brewing, while confirming multiple layoffs at the brewing facility.
Beaus said the layoffs are largely not related to the Steam Whistle announcement.
Beaus said most of temporary layoffs are because they are slowing down production, while they undertake maintenance work on its lines and brewing tanks,
Meantime the new partnership between Beau’s and Steamwhistle will see the two craft-brewing leaders join forces to sell and distribute their pooled portfolios in Ontario.
Beaus Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Steve Beauchesne told the Review newspaper his company’s beer sales have decreased by approximately 40 per cent since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic
He said, the partnership between Beau’s and Steamwhistle will allow both companies to reach more potential customers in Ontario.
