Members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a motorist for refusing to comply with the officer’s demands.
On January 12, 2023, shortly after 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a traffic complaint on Laurier Street in Rockland. During the investigation the driver refused to comply with the officer’s breath demand.
Joanne TOKESSY, age 58, from Rockland, was charged under the Criminal Code (CC) with:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand CC 320.15(1)
The motorist received a 90-day driver’s license suspension, and the vehicle was also impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on February 15, 2023.
