The City of Clarence-Rockland invites you to join them at the Grand Opening of their brand-new Wastewater Treatment Plant on Thursday June 29 from 1:00pm-3:30pm at 700 Rue Industrielle. The tours begin at 1:00pm followed by a ribbon cutting at 3:00pm.
Every day, large amounts of wastewater generated by residential, commercial, institutional and industrial sources are directed into city sewer systems. To ensure the protection of the environment, The City’s Wastewater Treatment Plan serves as both the initial and end stage for treating and disinfecting this wastewater.
You can tour the plant and ask the team any questions that you may have. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to witness firsthand the comprehensive multi-stage treatment processes, including screening, filtering, cleaning and disinfection. These processes are designed to purify the wastewater, eliminate bacteria and other contaminants, resulting in water that is safe for the environment.
People of all age are welcome to attend, but please remember this is an operational plant, and the visit will be limited to certain spaces to ensure everyone’s safety.
