Thursday night a group of local business owners, members of The Clarence-Rockland New Chamber Of Commerce, residents, and members of Clarence-Rockland city council, including Mayor Mario Zanth gathered at Rockland Golf Club for a new product launch for local charity.
Hot Country 92.5 in collaboration with Brauwerk Hoffman Rockland presented Bier Fur Die Volk, a new beer brewed by Brauwerk Hoffman in which a portion of sales proceeds will be donated to The Rockland Help Center.
The name in translation means a beer for the people made by the people.
The beer is now available at the brewery and restaurant at 733 Industrielle in Rockland for a limited time.
This product launch leads into another major fundraiser for the center, The 2nd Annual Hot Country 92.5 Radiothon, sponsored by Belanger Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, this Saturday, live from Food Basics Rockland from 9:00am-5:00pm.
Listeners will be invited to call in a donation, make one on line, or in person while grocery shopping. New this year, resident can donate using their VISA/Mastercard.
All money raised will support and assist the close to 300 families that rely on the food bank.
