Members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested three motorists for impaired driving.
On October 31, 2023, shortly before 7:15 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Limoges Road in The Nation Municipality. There were no injuries.
During the investigation, the officer utilized an Approved Screening Device (ASD). The driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.
Richard BRADFORD, age 55, from Limoges, Ontario, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Drive motor vehicle – no licence
- Fail to remain
On November 5, 2023, shortly before 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Joanisse Road in the City of Clarence-Rockland. There were no injuries. During the investigation the driver refused to comply with the officer’s breath demand.
Tyler MCQUAID, age 28, from Rockland, Ontario, was charged with:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
On November 5, 2023, shortly before 6:15 p.m., officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Route 200 in Russell Township. There were minor injuries.
During the investigation, the officer utilized an ASD. The driver was arrested and transported to the hospital for a medical assessment and for further testing.
Adrian MIDDLETON, age 25, from Hawkesbury, Ontario, was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor (Two counts)
The motorists received a 90-day driver’s license suspension, and the vehicles were also impounded for seven days.
The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal at a later date.
