Negotiations are progressing positively between the Township of Champlain and the Town of Hawkesbury regarding municipal services for a future industrial park located southeast of Hawkesbury.
The project aims to develop 130 acres acquired in 2022, but the land, located in Champlain, depends on Hawkesbury’s water and sewer systems.
Developers Patrick Tallon and Alain Ménard are urging the two municipalities to reach an agreement or annexation to attract new businesses, pointing out that the region is sorely lacking in serviced industrial land.
