The City of Clarence-Rockland plans to legally challenge the Ford government’s decision to ban photo radar on municipal roads.
On October 8, the council adopted a unanimous motion to obtain a legal opinion on the legality of this measure and its impacts on municipal autonomy.
Councilor Trevor Stewart denounces a “populist” decision which would jeopardize road safety, particularly near schools. Implemented for only two months, the program was already showing positive results according to the municipality.
