Last week, the citizens of Hawkesbury participated in an open house at the Robert-Hartley Sports Complex to give their opinion on two major projects: the new official land use plan and the parks and recreation master plan. Several citizens have expressed their desire to have more police surveillance at Place des Pionniers, more trails and cultural activities.
The official plan will be resubmitted in January 2026 before being submitted to the United Counties of Prescott and Russell and then to the Ontario government for final approval.
