The Township of Champlain will set aside $150,000 from the United Counties of Prescott and Russell Regional Community Investment Fund to improve L’Orignal Park.
Two projects are planned: the construction of a new pavilion and the relocation of the tennis court, each valued at about $200,000.
The pavilion would be funded by the fund, while an application to the Ontario Trillium Foundation would be submitted for the tennis court.
The fate of the Châlet-abri building will be evaluated as part of the 2026 municipal budget.
