City Of Clarence-Rockland Denies Plans To Transform Parc Simon Into Resident Zone

The City of Clarence-Rockland denies any plan to transform Parc Simon into a residential zone. They out that the plan announced on June 12 aims to revitalize the site by creating a festival-style public square, intended to bring the community together year-round. Outdated infrastructure will be replaced, and funds from the sale of surplus land or development charges will be used to fund new recreational, cultural and community facilities. The former mayor of Clarence-Rockland, Jean-Marc Lalonde, raised concerns this week about the future of the site, hoping that it would remain public. CLICK HERE to read the story.
