This morning, two major accidents involving large trucks caused major road closures. In Hawkesbury, a truck overturned at the intersection of John Street and Le Chenail Boulevard, forcing the closure of the streets and the Long Sault Bridge for two hours. Earlier on Highway 417, in East Hawkesbury, a tractor-trailer left the road and broke a guardrail before crashing into the median, which led to a closure of the highway to allow it to be removed. At last news, the Ontario Provincial Police had not yet provided an update on the two accidents.
