Tulmar Safety Systems presented its KOVA electric vehicle fire blanket, designed and manufactured in Canada, in Hawkesbury. More than 35 specialists from Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec attended the demonstration, which was carried out with the help of the Hawkesbury Fire Department. The single-use cover allows electric vehicle lights to be quickly contained when water is limited. Firefighters see it as an effective tool to reduce risk and damage. The event also provided an opportunity to discuss protocols related to electric vehicle fires.
