A biodisc critical to the treatment of ammonia at the Wendover wastewater treatment plant is damaged. The Ontario Water Agency recommended a repair estimated at less than $100,000, rather than a replacement costing about $300,000. The Alfred-Plantagenet council has approved an emergency order to finance the repair. The funds will come from the Wendover Sewer System Reserve.
