The Embrun water tower will remain out of service until spring 2026 after an inspection revealed significant structural failures. The Township of Russell is accelerating the tendering process to begin work this winter. A ban on outdoor water use, in effect since October 29, remains in order to ensure the supply and fire protection. Water quality is not compromised.
