The Clarence-Rockland Help Centre kicked off their Annual Fundraising Campaign today, which will continue until December 12. The community is being asked to make a donation at www.banquealimentairerockland.ca
Requests for assistance has grown by 28% according to President Daniel E. Sabourin, and since COVID, assistance has grown by over 100% as he told Derrick Scott on The BIG Breakfast this morning.
Listeners can also drop off a cheque or monetary donation at their location on Chamberland Street. Beyond monetary donations, the centre does not receive any financial assistance from the government, relying solely on the community, from residents, and businesses for their support.
As an added bonus, BIG-FM along with GABS Restaurant & Bar on Laurier Street in Rockland is giving those a chance that make a financial donation on line a chance to win tickets in the Labatt Suite December 9 to see the Ottawa Senators play The New Jersey Devil, along with $150.00 to spend at GABS courtesy of KoolTech Mechanical.
“BIG-FM always provides our advertising partners a chance to give back.” said Operations Manager Derrick Scott. For those interested in winning the hockey package, it’s important to note how to credit BIG depending on whether your donation is by MasterCard/VISA or Interact/Paypal.
For credit card, in the “IN HONOR” section type BIG-FM, for those wishing to make a donation via Interact, in the SUBJECT Line, indicate BIG-FM. The deadline to enter is Sunday November 30 at 11:59pm, as the grand prize draw will take place on Monday December 1 between 8am-9am. CLICK HERE TO DONATE
