The Nation Municipality reminds the public that roadside parking is not prohibited by default in The Nation. Between November 15, 2025 and April 1, 2026, people can park their vehicles on the side of the road overnight, except when a ban is in effect. The Department of Public Works will issue parking bans during winter episodes or municipal operations. The Nation Municipality has also established designated parking areas for vehicles that cannot be parked in a driveway overnight. Bans will not be sent through the review system or posted on social media. To find out if a ban is in effect, visit the municipality’s website at www.nationmun.ca after 2 p.m., a red banner will be posted indicating the ban between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
