Main Street In Vankleek Hill To Get Make Over

By Derrick Scott Dec 1, 2025 | 6:20 AM

The Township of Champlain plans to rebuild Main Street in Vankleek Hill in 2027. Council supported the addition of $257,000 to the 2026 budget for design studies, in partnership with the United Counties of Prescott and Russell who will contribute just over $200,000. The project covers 1.8 km and aims to correct major problems: aging pavement, insufficient storm water and sanitary networks and non-accessible sidewalks. The work, estimated at between 4 and 5 million, should be launched after the end of the studies at the end of 2026.
