“Biker Chick” Sara Baxter, who has run several Friday night Bike Nights at the Atlantic Pub throughout the summer, raising thousands for local charities and causes including $3,500 for the Glengarry Memorial Hospital is adding some Christmas flare to help raise funds for the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Alexandria.
Baxter, and other “biker chicks” have organized a Christmas Party tonight at the Atlantic Pub, featuring live music, and many prizes up for grabs. To make the event open to every, there is no admission charge, however for each set donation made, guests will get a ballot to win one of several prizes.
“We even have a prize where one winner will win a band and beer for the night.” said Baxter when she joined Derrick Scott on The BIG Breakfast.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society this year will be making Christmas baskets for those in the community who are less fortunate. Due to food insecurity on the rise in the region the request for more assistance has grown, and the money raised from the Christmas Party will be perfect timing.
