A study by the United Counties of Prescott-Russell reveals that the intersection of Highways 17 and 19 in Wendover poses significant traffic problems and requires major improvements. The commissioned firm’s report recommends, over 20 years, work totalling nearly $10 million, including realignment, new turning lanes, better lighting, widening of shoulders and increased signage. Planned residential and commercial growth will worsen the situation if nothing is done. The UCPR Council agreed to use this report to update the Transportation Master Plan.
