François Landry, Mayor of North Stormont, has been sworn in as Reeve of the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry for 2026. This is a first in a long time for an elected official from Stormont North. A Franco-Ontarian, Landry emphasized the importance of serving the region’s Francophone population. Several provincial, federal and municipal elected officials welcomed his appointment. He will be the last prefect of this mandate, with the next municipal elections scheduled for October 2026.
