The Township of East Hawkesbury is rolling forward with its 2026 municipal budget, which comes with a 6% property tax increase. The total budget sits just under $7 million, with roughly half coming directly from property taxes. For the average homeowner, that means an extra $67 a year.
Where’s the money going? Big investments are in the works, including $2 million for a new fire station in Saint-Eugène, and $285,000 earmarked for street paving. All part of a plan to modernize and maintain critical infrastructure in the township.
