The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) Foundation has received a $50,000 donation from The Friends of HGH to help bring “Hal,” a state-of-the-art pediatric training mannequin, to the hospital’s skills lab.
Hal will give healthcare teams hands-on experience practicing complex pediatric scenarios in a safe, controlled environment, improving both patient care and safety. This gift marks a significant step toward the Foundation’s $130,000 investment in the life-saving training tool.
“Having a pediatric mannequin on site allows our teams to practice complex scenarios safely, ultimately improving outcomes for children in our community,” said Erin Tabakman, Executive Director of the HGH Foundation. “We are deeply grateful to the Friends of HGH volunteers whose dedication makes this possible.”
