Hawkesbury Mayor Robert Lefebvre Won’t Run In Next Election

Robert Lefebvre, mayor of Hawkesbury since 2022, announced yesterday in a press release that he will not be a candidate in the municipal elections of October 26, 2026.

With the nominations opening on May 1, Lefebvre wants to give candidates time to get organized. He promises to remain involved in the electoral process and to support a candidate who demonstrates sincere values and a clear vision.

With more than 50 years in municipal administration, he expresses his gratitude to the employees and the population, saying that he was honoured to serve Hawkesbury.
