The Ontario government is investing up to $8.7 million to upgrade and expand wastewater infrastructure in the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet. The announcement was made by MNA Stéphane Sarrazin alongside Mayor Yves Laviolette. The funds will be used to rehabilitate two pumping stations in Plantagenet, replace pipes, and install monitoring, odour control and emergency power systems. The project aims to support residential growth. This year follows the millions already announced for The Nation’s Clarence-Rockland networks.
