The ATV and snowmobile clubs of Eastern Ontario are asking for the support of the United Counties of Prescott-Russell to protect their trails as part of the Alto high-speed rail project. They fear that the route will cut off the network and create permanent breakdowns. They do not have the resources to intervene alone, so they want to collaborate in the process. Elected officials recognize the economic importance of trails and promise to defend local interests.
