Rehabilitation work will take place in 2026 on 14 kilometres of Highway 34, between the southern limit of Hawkesbury and the Highway 417 interchange south of Vankleek Hill, according to the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. The project involves resurfacing the roadway. The sections located in Hawkesbury and Vankleek Hill are not affected, as they are under the jurisdiction of the municipalities. In addition, the reconstruction of the Highway 34 and Highway 17 interchange, south of Hawkesbury, is scheduled for 2027
