The Municipality of North Glengarry awarded Thomas Fuller Construction an $18.8 million contract to expand the Alexandria Lagoons, well short of the $28 million provincial grant. The project aims to increase the treatment capacity with new cells, an aeration system, tertiary filtration and a new operations building. As bids are under schedule, the municipality is considering reallocating the remaining funds to other projects, including Maxville.
