The proposed Alto high-speed rail route is not expected to pass through Voyageur or Alfred Bog Provincial Parks. The Ontario Ministry of the Environment says it is not aware of any proposals to do so, but property owners near these areas have received notices from Alto to allow for the collection of environmental data on their land. Alfred Bog is one of the largest peat swamps in southern Ontario, while Voyageur Park is a large, year-round recreational site.
