The Alfred-Plantagenet Town Council has approved Hydro 2000’s plan to purchase the building it currently leases in Alfred to maintain its head office and operations centre. The company will finance the purchase of $445,000. The municipal auditor considers Hydro 2000’s financial situation to be sufficient. Part of the building could also be converted into rental housing to generate income.
