Women’s Leadership Prescott-Russell is launching the “It Takes Women Like You” campaign to encourage at least 50 women to run in the 2026 municipal elections. Women make up more than half of the population, but only 25% of the region’s elected municipal officials. The organization wants to reduce barriers, in particular through information sessions and mentoring with local elected officials.
