Clarence-Rockland could regulate the use of artificial intelligence in its municipal administration. Councillor Trevor Stewart tabled a notice of motion to protect personal information, maintain access to human contact in municipal services, and ban AI-generated images in official communications. He clarifies that the motion is not about banning AI, but about better regulating it.
The proposal will be debated and put to a vote at the municipal council meeting on July 8.
