Members of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged one individual following two break and enter investigations.
Over the past few months, Russell County OPP assisted by the East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) investigated two break and enters that occurred at businesses within Russell Township.
As a result of the investigation, 44-year-old, Edward Fogarty of Ottawa has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:
Break and enter – a place – commit indictable offence – two counts
Mischief Under $5,000 – two counts
Possession of break-in instruments – two counts
Disguise with intent – two counts
The accused was released from custody on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 8, 2026.
The investigation is ongoing.
