Stormont–Dundas–South Glengarry MP Eric Duncan has been named Shadow Minister of Foreign Affairs by Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre as part of his shadow cabinet. In the role, Duncan will be responsible for holding the Liberal government to account on international issues, including Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand.
Duncan says key concerns include the future of the Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement, trade relations with China, and imports of Chinese electric vehicles. He also says Canada should better leverage its natural resources, including oil and gas, to strengthen ties with the United States.
