North Glengarry is looking at a roughly 200-thousand-dollar project to address structural problems at the Dunvegan Recreation Centre. An engineering assessment found deteriorated and rotting wooden beams beneath the floor, with the entire floor structure potentially needing replacement. The 1919 community hall remains open, but its capacity has been reduced to one-third as a precaution, and major events have been cancelled. The township says the work is recommended within the next year, with the final cost to be determined through a tender process.
