On Monday, August 10, 2026, shortly after 6:00 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Route 21 in Alfred-Plantagenet Township.
As a result of the investigation, Valentina DEKROM, 62 years old, of Alfred-Plantagenet Township was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
The motorist received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
