On Monday, August 10, members of the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged three individuals following reports of a break and enter in progress and assault in Alexandria.
At approximately 6:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress. The accused individuals fled prior to police arrival. One victim at the residence sustained minor injuries and was assessed by emergency medical services. The accused were located and arrested later the same day in Alexandria.
As a result of the investigation, Vanessa Buss, 31 years old from North Glengarry Township, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence
- Fail to comply with probation order
Justin Maloney, 36 years old from North Glengarry Township, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence
- Mischief under $5000
Ronald Alteen, 53 years old from South Glengarry Township, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:
- Break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence
The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall at a later date
