In the East Hawkesbury sector, major construction work will be carried out on Highway 417, in the Barb Road sector, starting August 17 and is expected to continue until November 30, 2027. However, the work will be suspended during the winter season, as of November 30, 2026. During the project, one lane will be closed in each direction on Highway 417 and occasional closures of the Barb Road ramp are anticipated. Notices will be issued in advance to inform motorists of these closures. The work includes asphalt repairs, concrete pavement resurfacing, and road markings. Motorists are invited to allow extra time for their trips and to respect the signage in the area.
