Looking for something new to do this fall? Clarence-Rockland is bringing local sports, arts, culture, recreation and community groups together for the 5th annual Recreation Rendez-Vous.
The free event takes place Tuesday, September 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the YMCA of Clarence-Rockland.
With more than 20 exhibitors, the Recreation Rendez-Vous is a chance for residents of all ages to discover local programs, meet community organizations and find activities they can get involved with.
Whether you’re looking for a new sport, a creative hobby, something for the kids, or simply a way to connect with people in the community, there should be plenty to check out.
Among the organizations taking part are:
- Clarence-Rockland Girls Hockey Association — Information for young hockey players and families looking to get involved.
- Rockland United Soccer Club — Learn more about soccer programs and opportunities in the community.
- Simply Yoga — A chance to discover yoga and wellness activities.
- Douvris Martial Arts Rockland — Information on martial arts programs for different ages.
- 832 Twillick Clarence-Rockland Air Cadet Squadron — Learn more about the Air Cadet program and opportunities for local youth.
Other exhibitors include the Clarence-Rockland Public Library, Rockland Taekwondo, Guides and Pathfinders, Robothink, Sensory Smart, Élan Franco-Jeunesse, Retraite en Action, Patinage Clarence Creek and the Cité de Clarence-Rockland, among others.
Admission is free, and organizers say it’s a great opportunity to discover something new, connect with local groups and register for programs.
