An asphalt spill forced the closure of Highway 417 eastbound yesterday afternoon near Casselman. Traffic was interrupted between Limoges Road and St. Albert Road starting at approximately 1:30 p.m. The Ontario Provincial Police confirm that the lanes reopened around 3:30 p.m. The cause of the spill has not been specified.
