The Clarence-Rockland Chamber of Commerce is organizing two candidate presentation evenings for those running for Mayor and City Council, as part of the 2026 municipal elections.
These evenings are intended to provide constructive, respectful and informative opportunities for residents to get to know the candidates.
French Evening
Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Bourget Community Centre
English Evening
Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Optimist Hall, Rockland
Evening Format
Each candidate will have an opportunity to introduce themselves.
Mayoral candidates will have a maximum of 5 minutes.
City Council candidates will have a maximum of 3 minutes.
Following the introductions, a series of questions submitted in advance by residents will be directed to the candidates. The questions will be presented by a moderator, and each candidate will have a maximum of 3 minutes to respond to each question.
Although these evenings are open to the general public, there will be no open question period for spontaneous questions from the audience. This format is intended to ensure a fair, structured and respectful use of the time allocated to each candidate.
The Chamber of Commerce invites residents to submit their questions in advance by email at info@crcommerce.ca, no later than Thursday, October 8, at 4:00 p.m.
