Flu season is coming earlier than expected in Eastern Ontario. The EOHU’s medical officer of health, Paul Roumeliotis, estimates that the number of cases could peak as early as mid-November, a few weeks earlier than usual. He strongly recommends vaccination, particularly for people aged 65 and over, young children and people with chronic diseases. The vaccine is already available to priority groups and will be available to the entire population as of October 26.
