A public consultation is underway for the expansion of the Mayer private landfill site, located east of Hawkesbury. The project provides for an additional capacity of 650,000 cubic metres, without changing the type or annual volume of non-hazardous waste accepted. The draft environmental assessment report can be consulted online, at the Mayer office or at the Hawkesbury Library. The public can send their comments until November 27.
