The Town of Hawkesbury will officially welcome its new Municipal Council on Monday, November 16, at 7 p.m., with an inaugural meeting at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex’s multipurpose room.
The meeting will mark the beginning of the 2026-2030 municipal term and the official swearing-in of council members elected during the October 26 municipal elections.
The evening will begin with a territorial acknowledgement, followed by the swearing-in ceremony. The mayor and council members will deliver their declarations of office and oaths of allegiance before signing the official documents confirming their responsibilities for the next four years.
The meeting will continue with the mayor presenting the town’s vision, inaugural remarks from council members, an address from the chief administrative officer, and the first administrative resolutions of the new term.
The inaugural meeting represents an important milestone in Hawkesbury’s democratic process and officially launches a new four-year municipal term.
