South Nation Conservation Prepping To Open Properties

South Nation Conservation is preparing to open their seasonal properties.

SNC is installing safety and debris booms ahead of its water control structures throughout the region, including Casselman, Russell, Plantagenet and Crysler. Once water levels allow, the next step is to install docks at the following Conservation Areas and partner boat launching sites:

All SNC Conservation Areas and seasonal parks will be re-opened ahead of the May Long Weekend. 2022 marks the authority’s 75th anniversary.

To celebrate they are encouraging people to visit an SNC Conservation Area and log their distances.

Prizes donated by community organizations and local businesses will be available at the end of the year for those who tracked 75 kilometres on local recreational trails and waterways.
