North Glengarry Council has received a report confirming the failure of the cooler at Glengarry Sports Palace, which is critical to ice making. Installed in 2010, the equipment is deemed irreparable after a breakdown following a chemical mix.
Its replacement will cost nearly $230,000. Users were redirected to the Maxville sports complex, with priority given to minor hockey. The arena will reopen 5 to 6 weeks after installation.
