The start of the school year is going better this year for school transportation in Eastern Ontario. The STEO reports only 11 trips without an assigned driver, compared to 17 last year, and only 3 cancellations since September. This improvement is the result of increased recruitment and retention efforts. The Consortium de transport scolaire de l’Est, serving French-language boards, has not reported any cancellations so far.
